I'm 80-ish % sure I'll go with Hiker. There are a few configuration options where I can't get what I want and there are also a few things I really like in other brands that Hiker doesn't offer. I'm hoping that they'll work with me. We're going to finally check out the trailers this August at Overland Expo West and hopefully talk with a rep about what we can do.

Do these lights give good light at night? I put new housings with projector dim lights. Very bright with leds. I like the sleepy eye look but not so much the 3 lights. I would like to see a sleepy eyed projector style. Anyway cool video, thanks.

God, I could of really used you when I went through all this. I came up with a crazy idea to surprise my wife with a new car and trailer. I went with a 2024 Subaru Outback Wilderness and a mid range hiker trailer 5 X10. I didn't like the reviews of rock so I went with a loan through Chevron Credit Union. They were very helpful. It was so much work to build out and all the out of state stuff was difficult. I even paid my tags through Chevon before the trailer was shipped, even with that, it took six months to get our plate. At least I got the 5 year PTI plate. I did have fun engineering the trailer for a lower tongue weight. C44 fridge in the back, 1000x goalzero in the back, this made the propex heater go undermount, which is a bummer cause I can't drive through a creek now. Our trailer dry is about 1250 lbs and full, I get about 1 inch of squish (sag)

I can't find any camping spots using the regular reserve websites, but we have found some on hipcamp. We have taken it out once and will be going again soon. I'm in Central CA.

Very honest report, Sir. People should be understand, EVERY Car has its own gremmlins or Problems. Doesn´t matter if you buy a Ferrari, BMW, Corvette or an Alfa Romeo. Thing is, you should afford the costs to maintain the vehicle and (of course) you need a big love for your car :) To avoid as much electrical problems I´d act like this: 1. Go and install a Gel-Battery, 2. clean all Grounding-Points and tighten them correctly, 3. Remove each fuse in the fuse box and then put it back in its correct place. This way, you can quickly fix oxidation issues. Be sure to do this with the battery disconnected and in a power-off state. 4. As an additional preventive measure, you can replace all the spark plugs and the ignition coil. 5. as last step: reconnect the Battery, activate ignition, wait for about a minute, the connect an OBD-2 codereader and read/erase alle trouble-codes or faults. 6. your car is ready to go and no more electrical gremmlins. :)

Congrats on the Hiker 👍. We have a 2022 Mid Range XL 5x9, and have the Milliard trifold TwinXL mattress. 38" wide x 6" thick. Just me and the pup sleeping in the trailer, so the extra open floor space works well for placing a bag, shoes, etc.

Great thing with the Hiker, is ability to make it your own. Over time youll make changes as you need them. Nice color!!

Risers make it look better

If you set your mirror wider, it mostly eliminates the blind spot. Lean your head against the driver side window, then move the mirror out until you just barely can't see the side of your car. Now do the same thing for the passenger side (while sitting on in the driver seat) lean your head toward the passenger window, then move the mirror out until it just barely can't see the side of the car. No more blind spot. You just have to get used to not seeing the side of your car in the side mirrors.

Hey man, how does this kit perform at high speed without a bezel? Everything seems very open for air pressure to get in there. Have you seen any deformation or damage from speeds over 125mph?

PSA!!!! If you have a 18’ Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport, take the carpet out and just use the floor mats that came with the jeep. Better aesthetic, never have to worry about carpets smelling ever again, and draining your car literally takes a minute at the maximum. Your welcome!!!! Keep it duckin’
